Until 1982, he was an independent businessman. When the Central Council was founded in 1982, delegates of the member associations &#8211; at that time nine and today 20 national and regional associations \u2013 had elected Mr Rose as chairman. Since then, member associations have confirmed him in his office every four years at the General Meeting. In 1991, Mr Rose became chairman of the Documentation and Cultural Centre of German Sinti and Roma in Heidelberg. To state and regional governments as well as abroad, Mr Rose is known for his resolve, and his consistent and tireless efforts on behalf of the minority.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/zentralrat.sintiundroma.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Biography_Romani_Rose.pdf\">Biography (English, pdf download)<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Interviews<\/h2>\n<p>Mr Rose gave an interview about the civil rights movement.
