Minority Protection for Sinti and Roma within the Framework of the Council of Europe, the CSCE and the UNO

This publication documents the call of the Central Council for concrete minority protection for the Sinti and Roma in the Federal Republic of Germany and in Europe. The federal government has signed and accepted international and European conventions concerning this matter that should guarantee special minority protection at the national and international level. This, in turn, places the respective member states under an obligation to protect the cultural autonomy and political participation of national minorities.
